Fundraise
for us
Whether you’re taking on a challenge, hosting an event, or doing something completely your own, fundraising is a powerful way to support our work.
Every pound you raise helps us provide vital care beyond NHS funding, supporting babies and their families during some of the most difficult times in their lives.
How your fundraising helps
Around 1,200 babies receive care at the Oliver Fisher Neonatal Unit each year. Funds raised help us go above and beyond, providing specialist equipment, improving the hospital environment, and supporting families with everyday needs. From travel expenses to essential equipment and family support, your fundraising helps us make a real difference when it matters most
Ways you can fundraise
There are so many ways to get involved, whether big or small. Here are just a few ideas to get you started:
Take on a challenge event (runs, walks, obstacle courses)
Host your own fundraiser (bake sale, quiz night, coffee morning)
Celebrate a special occasion by asking for donations instead of gifts (birthdays, weddings, milestones)
Fundraise at work or school
Do something completely unique - we’d love to hear your ideas!
Organising your own event?
Tell us about it!
Get in touch with us to tell us about your event. We can share our fundraising resources with you to help make your event a success. (Plus, we’d love to celebrate it with you too!)
Stories from our fundraisers
Kiran’s Mount Snowdon Climb
Kiran’s daughter was born at 24 weeks plus 4 days. “She was in the Unit for over 100 days and the Unit just saved her life so many times”
In September, Kiran took on our Mount Snowdon Sunrise climb challenge to raise money for us. Over £10k was raised by the whole of #TeamOliver, and Kiran along with her 3 friends raised over £2k. She says “1085m elevation, 9 miles, 7hrs total on 2hrs sleep… Snowdon you were the biggest challenge, but also so so rewarding!”
Are you interested in climbing a mountain through the night to be at the top for sunrise? We’re running the Three Peaks in Three Years: Sunrise Series and you’re invited to join us!
Siobhan’s Charity Skydive
Sitting at 12,000ft, Siobhan jumped out of a plane - and all to raise money for us! She raised £450 by taking on this thrilling challenge.
Thanks to Siobhan’s support, more families will receive the care and resources they need during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Are you a Thrill Seeker? We hold an annual Thrill Seeker challenge - in August 2026, you can bungee jump to raise money for us!
Why fundraise for us?
Catherine is the Patient Safety Nurse on the Unit, and she shares why fundraising is so important:
“…it enables us to get state of the art equipment for our babies, it also provides us possibilities to provide extra services for parents whilst they’re on the Unit…”
